Field research in Malta

Dr. Adriana Padovan undertook field research in Malta from 14th until 18th November 2017. Meetings were held with the representatives of the Malta Transport Authority, specialised law firms and the local marinas. In addition, dr. Padovan visited the IMO International Maritime Law Institute and its specialised library. The aim of this field research was to collect the relevant sources (legislation, case law, selfregulation, rules of practice) of Maltese law and practice related to marina operator's liability, contracts of berth, status of marinas as ports, and other topics examined within the project for the purpose of comparative analysis.
